Privacy Policy

Information we handle

• Reserved songs, singer names, performance scores, and score dates stored locally on your device for the public experience.
• If you voluntarily use a supported signed-in session, an email address and display name may be supplied by that sign-in platform so DCGrafix can keep your saved records separate.
• Song search terms and temporary YouTube metadata needed to show playable results.
• Basic technical information processed by our hosting provider and YouTube when the embedded player loads.

Device storage, cookies, and similar technologies

DCGrafix Online Karaoke stores or accesses information directly on your device through browser local storage, Cache Storage, and similar technologies. These technologies keep recent search terms, reserved-song queues, entertainment score history, installation preferences, and offline PWA assets available on the device.

Our hosting provider and third-party YouTube API Services or embedded player may also place, access, or recognize cookies, local storage, device identifiers, IP address, browser information, or similar technologies when the service or a YouTube video loads or plays. Their processing is governed by their own policies, including the Google Privacy Policy. You can control or clear browser storage and cookies through your browser or device settings.

Microphone and scoring

Microphone access begins only after you allow it. Audio is analyzed locally in your browser for voice activity, pitch stability, timing, and held notes. DCGrafix does not save or transmit the microphone recording. Scores are entertainment estimates created by DCGrafix and are not supplied or endorsed by YouTube.

YouTube API Services

This app uses YouTube API Services and the YouTube embedded player. YouTube provides the videos, titles, thumbnails, channels, availability, and view counts shown in search. By using those features, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google may collect and process information as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

DCGrafix Karaoke uses exactly one Google Cloud API Project for this API Client: Project Number 686906264819. DCGrafix does not download, reupload, separate, or store YouTube audio or video.

YouTube API data refresh and retention

Search responses and related public YouTube metadata are cached for no longer than six hours before they are refreshed or removed. Limited YouTube metadata saved with a reserved song or performance record is refreshed, removed, or de-identified no later than 30 calendar days after it was stored.

Expired reserved-song entries are automatically removed. Independent DCGrafix score totals may remain as performance history, but expired YouTube video identifiers and titles are removed and replaced with a generic performance label. Users may delete device-local and account-linked DCGrafix data sooner using the control below.

How we use and share information

We use DCGrafix data to provide queues and entertainment scores, operate and secure the service, troubleshoot problems, and improve independent DCGrafix features. Information is processed by the Sites hosting platform and, for YouTube features, by Google/YouTube. We do not sell personal information.

Advertising and consent

DCGrafix Online Karaoke may display clearly labeled advertisements after an advertising account is approved. Google AdSense and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP address, browser information, and activity on this site to deliver, measure, limit, or personalize advertisements as permitted by law. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services and review Google ad controls.

Before personalized advertising is enabled where consent is legally required, the site will use an appropriate Google-certified consent management platform. Rejecting personalized advertising will not remove the core public karaoke features. Advertisements will not be placed over the YouTube player or beside controls in a way that could cause accidental clicks.

Retention and your controls

Public-user scores, reservations, and recent searches stay on the current device until you remove them, clear browser storage, use the deletion control below, or an applicable YouTube metadata retention limit expires. If you use a supported signed-in session, account-linked independent DCGrafix records remain until deleted, while stored YouTube metadata is refreshed, removed, or de-identified within the limits above. The control does not delete any Google, YouTube, or ChatGPT account or data those services hold.

Children and contact

The service is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian should supervise younger users. For privacy questions or deletion help, contact DCGrafix Business Support at 0966 729 1120.
