Start singing in five simple steps
Updated September 10, 2026
You do not need a Google or YouTube account for the public karaoke experience. A modern browser, internet connection, and optional microphone permission are enough to begin.
1. Choose what you want to hear
Select Karaoke for instrumental or minus-one versions. Select Music when you want the original vocal version. This choice helps the search rank relevant results, but always read the full title and channel before selecting a video.
2. Search by title or artist
Enter a clear phrase such as a song title plus the artist. Press Search and review the playable results. Popularity can help ranking, but the first result is not always the version that best matches your preferred key, tempo, or arrangement. Try another result if the first one is unavailable or unsuitable.
3. Play now or build a queue
Select the main result to load it immediately. Use Reserve when several people are waiting. The queue displays the next five songs and lets the host move or remove entries. Preparing two or three songs ahead reduces silence between performances without interrupting the current singer.
4. Enable the microphone for scoring
Press Enable microphone and approve the browser permission. Watch the level meter while speaking or singing. If it does not move, check the browser’s microphone permission and selected input. Earphones help prevent the backing track from being measured as the singer’s voice.
5. Finish and continue
At the end, DCGrafix shows an entertainment score when microphone input was active. The score describes detected signal patterns; it is not a contest result or professional evaluation. The next reserved song receives priority. If the queue is empty, the app may offer another song from the latest search.
Your queue, volume choice, and recent history may be kept on the current device. Review or delete DCGrafix data from the Privacy Policy and Data Controls page.
